WAY better than the way we did the 20th!!! You guys are doing a great job, and i can't wait to get in touch with or even better SEE so many of you!!!! This site is great, I truly enjoyed the memories. Thank you for honoring the passing of many of our classmates, they still seem like teenagers to me. I look forward to the re-union. I DO HOPE ALL YOU ARE ALSO. Linda Stevenson Few - 07-09-2008 Congratulations Class of 68. I cannot believe it is here already. I have fond memories of the 35th reunion. Unfortunately I cannot attend this one. Since the last reunion my parents moved from Long Island to Lockport,N.Y. to be with us. Now they are only a block away. We are due to be first time grandparents and are so excited. I retired from teaching elementary school vocal music but am still directing two choirs and a handbell choir at church. I am still playing my oboe in a community band as well. We wish everyone a great time at the 40th. We'll be thinking of you. Donna Imatt - 07-04-2008 Greetings to All! As a first-time 'virgin' to the WWHS Website I am wowed! Congratulations to our Fearless & Talented leaders (who clearly have more time on their hands than humanly possible). Yes, 1968 was the most important year of the 20th century and we all know what it was like to live in it. I will never forget being part of Voices, ringing the auditorium in group of four-part harmony, singing during our Baccalaureate, singing with all our hearts in our voices, thinking of the recent assassinations of MLK and RFK, while hoping for our own futures. Never been to any reunion of any kind (encouragement from Katie and Neil Cotiaux notwithstanding!) because my thinking was backwards...it's not about our dwelling about our past as much as celebrating and sharing who we are now and moving forward with genuine affection. Big parties are so not me, but navigating this great site and getting emails from people I've missed is helping me get over my reticence. Anyone else living in LA ...not Los Angeles, but Lower Alabama, otherwise known as Pensacola, FL? Beaches like sugar, much more of a laid-back southern culture than that other part of Florida, and home for almost 20 years (lots of moves...Guam, Hawaii, San Diego, San Francisco, Maine, South Carolina, Virginia)...and many career changes, each time paying for a new Master's degree! I've been a classroom teacher and curriculum designer since 1986 until four years ago when I shifted to a full-time counselor, school counselor by day and private counselor/life coach whenever I can. Love it all. Terrifically blessed by two adult, 20-something, sons (Michael and Peter) who have become two of the most entertaining, smart, funny, politically savvy people I've ever met. Annamarie Torre O'Dell - 06-29-2008 I have kept in touch with my friend Lynn Milione D'Angelo all these years and she informed me of this site. I think it's pretty cool and has been fun seeing all these familiar names. I've been living in Florida for the past 38 years, am married and have four children. Am working full time in county government and have been for a long time. Graduated from ST Leo University in Dade City Florida as did my three daughters. Joe Malichio - 06-24-2008 Forty years has gone by in a blink. I would make a deal with that guy with the pitchfork just to re-live the summer of '68... or maybe just the Graduation Parties! I've had a great time going through the website and reminiscing. My parents moved away from Huntington around 1992, so it's been many years since I've been back that way. I will miss the 40th because my husband Don is battling a small bout with cancer, so I'm not comfortable making any travel plans. I've been in Georgia ever since we graduated, and my primary business location is just 1/2 mile off I-75 at GA Exit 22, so if anyone is passing through on the way to Florida, please stop in and say hello. Katie and my friend in Boulder, Matt Clark, both gave me a call yesterday ... now that was a trip! Seriously, you folks have brought a big smile to my face (or as Capasso would say ' my gake'....remember that Ronnie?). Seeing all those great photos and reading all those wise and so insightful comments(?) is simply a great pleasure. I plan to be at the reunion in the fall. My best to everybody... I can't beleive it's 40 years I'm not sure about the address..you must have the wrong street if it came back to you Vaughn. It's 1316 Riley Dr. Carrollton, TX 75007..I've been at this address since '97. I'm not sure I can come to the reunion as I have a trade show that weekend, UGH. I'll do my best to get out of it..but it's tough when your the show manager Hope you are all well Ray LeTellier - 06-11-2008 Hi- to anyone who may remember me (i was a bit of a quiet guy) in high school. My family moved to Florida in 1969, i moved there permanently in 1972 after graduating from Rider College, in Trenton, New Jersey. After living in Florida for 21 years, i moved here to Charleston, S.C. I have a son and daughter, both of whom have given me 2 Grandsons each! I am an avid runner, have run 12 marathons, and countless 1/2 marathons and 10ks! I went to West Hills United Methodist Church, right there by Whitman, from 1958 (when it was a 1 room country church), until leaving Huntington, and continue to have a strong faith, and remain very active with St. Andrews Parish United Methodist Church here in Charleston--William T. Bellus was correct, when he said the South will rise again!! Mr. Bellus and Agnes Shea are the 2 teachers I remember the most from Whitman days. I also remember Vickie Greenberg , Karen Ingeman, and Christy Green (Mrs. Shea picked on her relentlessly in Latin Class--who knows why i remember that ! ) This Website is bringing back many memories, and i've really enjoyed going thru it--as my days in Huntington seem like a whole other world away! I wish everyone well, and will say a Prayer for all our classmates that have gone on before us. Ray LeTellier Lorraine (Lori) Gail Klatt (Weinacker) - 06-10-2008 I've been found. After teaching 8 years in Kings Park, I moved to Seneca,SC and remarried. We have a fine dining restaurant, Weinackers, www.weinackers.com off of Exit 11 on I-85 in South Carolina. We have two children. Our son Henry is 24, an entrepreneur, and our daughter, Kristen, 23, a registered nurse and avid cyclist. Glad to have been found. Love to hear from you.
